Swap Meet
Preparations are well underway for South Australia’s premier Swap Meet by the Northern Automotive Restoration Club (SA) Inc.
The Swap Meet is held on the third Sunday in March every year at the Clare Showground with gates opening at 7:30am. The next Swap Meet will be 21st March 2010
Free sites are available with no need to book. Admission is $5.00 per person. Children under 14 free.
A flyer to distribute to your club or association will be available to download closer to the day.
Most sellers set up on the oval but there are sites adjacent to the oval near the pavilion. This is where NARC has a club site and also where the caterers are. The Lions Club breakfast of bacon and egg sandwiches are always very popular. Various stall holders also set up in the pavilion. These are more general interest stalls.
This year there will again be an auction of parts and collectables to be conducted at 10 am. This is an unreserved sale and was very succesful last year.
The first swap meet was held in 1976 and was one of the first held on a regular basis in SA.
Club members roster and duties for the day will appear in the Jan/Feb edition of the Con-Rod.
