Meeting at Port Broughton Golf Club. 8pm Rod Cunningham spoke on being bushfire ready. He showed us various means of preparing our buildings to proof them against ember attack which is the cause of most buildings being burnt. He then showed us a rather daunting film clip taken during the Canberra bushfires showing the constant storm of embers being blown horizontally across the landscape. Quite scary but certainly indicated the amount of preparation needed to stay and protect your property during a bushfire.
