Peter Faint’s old time reaping day at Rusty Park, 9km north of Marrabel on the Waterloo Road (6km south of Waterloo). Runs for most of the day. Demonstrations of all sorts of old farming machinery.

Port Broughton Golf Club 8pm. Guest Speaker Don Springbett will talk about his life when as a child he lived on a Pacific Island. He then became a diesel mechanic for Caterpillar servicing the outback of SA and then moving onto Clare where he started several businesses.

A film or two of motoring interest will also be shown.

Members are invited to the World PREMIERE of Whippets for Wishes 3.
Report : Peter Eaton and a number of his fellow Wippeteers attended the meeting and presented his just finished DVD of their adventures across Australia to Broome. The scenes of these 1927 and 29 Whippets travelling the heavily corrugated roads of the Tanami were amazing. It makes you wonder how these old cars manage to keep on going. Peter also told us of his upcoming trip across China in the Whippet….another intersesting film is sure to be produced. Copies of the DVD will be available soon.
DERUSTING – THE EASY WAY by John Birrell
For members not using the electrolytic method of removing rust from iron and steel parts, here’s the information necessary to set up. This method was demonstrated at the Feb. Workshop Night.

We will be viewing a film on the 1985 Alice Springs and Ayres Rock trip. 6 or so Vintage cars go from Clare and return. Accompanied by a bus this trip took 3 weeks and included Henley on Todd in Alice.
8.00 pm at Goode Restorations, 36 New Road, Clare.
